Important Information
- Iranian Journal of Biomedical Engineering (IJBME) is a quarterly journal in Persian (with title, abstract, and keywords in English) published regularly every three months by the Iranian Society of Biomedical Engineering (ISBME).
- This journal has been granted a scientific-research status by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT), and its title was changed to the Scientific Journal of Biomedical Engineering in 2019 following the MSRT's change of approach.
- The main scope of this journal includes all topics related to biomedical engineering and covers all trends in this field, like bioelectrics, biomechanics, biomaterials, tissue engineering, sports engineering, clinical, and etc.
- In this journal, all processes of receiving, reviewing, accepting, and publishing articles are carried out online, under a standard model, and through the journal's official and active website.
- Based on the decision of the journal's editorial board, currently only full-research articles are reviewed and published, and the publication of review articles and technical notes is not on the journal's agenda.
- The peer review process in this journal is Single-Blind meaning that the reviewers can see the authors' profiles. Decisions about articles are made by the journal's editor-in-chief based on at least two concurring reviews.
- The publication of articles in this journal is both electronic and printed. The PDF version of the articles is available for free on the journal's official website, and the printed version of the journal is sent to the authors of the articles and to the libraries of reputable universities with a faculty of biomedical engineering.
- In the process of reviewing articles submitted to this journal, the IranDoc similarity detection system is used to prevent plagiarism.
- In this journal, in order to comply with copyright laws, prevent plagiarism, and ensure the scientific authenticity of articles, it is mandatory for the corresponding author to complete and submit the authors' commitment, copyright and conflict of interest forms.

- The Iranian Journal of Biomedical Engineering is an Open Access scientific journal, and the PDF version of all articles published in this journal can be downloaded for free through the journal's official website.
- The articles in this journal are published under the Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 International License. According to this license, sharing and non-commercial use of articles is permitted with reference to the article information, but commercial use of articles is not permitted.
- This journal is following of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws.
- Following the “Guidelines for Referencing in Scientific Publications of the MSRT”, the Vancouver referencing style is used in this journal, and authors are required to strictly follow this style for referencing. It is necessary to write the DOI of each article at the end of the reference.
- In this journal, based on the regulations of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (2021) for determining the cost of processing an article in open access scientific journals, the author is charged 15,000,000 rials for the cost of processing and publishing the article, but at present, the initial fee for reviewing the article is not charged.
